Bike to church
If you can't manage the entire route, consider loading your bike in the car, driving partway, and cycling the rest of the way. Bring your own bike lock and helmet. Or, try walking or taking the transit to church.

Guided historic bike tour of the Fairlawn neighbourhood was a big success ...

We're planning to repeat last year's success - stay tuned! We met at the front lawn at Fairlawn Avenue United Church/Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre, with perfect cycling weather and a great turnout of children, youth and adults. Gary Schlee, our tour guide, did a great job with historical anecdotes that were fun, fascinating and informative. The evening a huge success!

Our aim (as well as learning history) was to give people an enjoyable outing on a bike -- especially when they may not have ridden for many years -- to encourage them to keep cycling and leave the car at home whenever possible. By all the smiles, I'm sure we succeeded.

The ice cream stop at "Robyn's Cookies" was certainly a treat. It's a very cute place with delicious cookies and ice cream, and we were very happy to support a local business. If you want to try it out, it's at 3215 Yonge Street -- off the back alley north of the lights at Ranleigh (behind Melonheads) east side of Yonge.
