Objective statement

BUY LOCALLY-GROWN FOOD by first educating ourselves, then educating the Fairlawn community and facilitating partnerships with local farmers for weekly delivery of food baskets of seasonal produce to interested consumers in the community, and advocating that grocery stores stock more local foods.

Status

The Local Food Action Team  provided recommendations for working with local food box companies and local markets. We also provided a detailed display at Village Day and at Fairlawn events and coffee hour.
